NATRC Region 2 Benefit Ride in Cuyamuca State Park at Descanso, CA. My GPS read just at 20 miles. Terrain was fire roads, sandy washes, rocky single tracks, and forest type of trails. The combination I used for the front feet was Easycare Glue On boots applied with Goober Glue. Soles were packed/filled with Goober Glue also. While he has always been barefoot, competition for us is all about doing the best to provide all we can for our horses during more demanding times than a leisure ride. This combination worked great! It enabled me to stay within the rules, while still offering hoof protection.  As a side note, this beautiful California State Park is on the list from the Governor's office for closures. What a loss to the equine community. These trails are just beautiful!

After 3 days on,  and 20 miles of competition.

Boots still in great shape.

Immediately after removing boot.

Bottom of hoof shows where the Goober Glue was.

I used a wire brush on a cordless drill to clean up the hoof wall. Marker lines are from application day.

Boot before cleaning up with wire brush.

Close up of a boot after cleanup. The holes in the bottom is so we can pack the bottom after gluing the boots on.

Other boot after cleanup. Again, this boot will be used again.

The early part of the trail. Sandy wash type terrain on fire roads.

MyCole just floated over these rocks.

View from my camera phone.

Breath taking view. Unfortunately the camera phone doesn't do it justice.
